The Port of Plymouth is located at the mouth of the River. It's commercial part; Millbay Docks is owned and operated by ABP, Britain's largest ports group. As well as having a large modern passenger Terminal, the Port provides modern berthing facilities for the many cruise ships which stop here.

Plymouth has the shortest ferry route to Western France, and first class passenger facilities. There are 2 routes operated by Brittany Ferries from Plymouth to Roscoff, which operate 11 crossings per week.
If you're driving from London, take the M4 west to the junction with the M5 going south to Exeter. When traveling from Exeter, head southwest on the A38 to Plymouth.
